Yangtze river dolphin's demise!

The long-threatened Yangtze river dolphin in China is probably extinct, according to an international team of researchers. They say this marks the first whale or dolphin to be wiped out because of human activity.

Is expected that the Yangtze river dolphin is extinct, according to the Zoological Society of London. The society participated in an international survey which examined over 1,500 kilometres of the river last year and failed to find a single baiji dolphin. In the 1990s they found thirteen live dolphins. In the 1950s they were thousands.

China's rapid modernisation is blamed for the dolphin's demise. Industrial pollution, heavy river traffic... are thought to have killed so many poor dolphins.
However, the World Conservation Union says that an animal can only be declared extinct if it hasn't been found in the wild for fifty years. So we hope that this nice animal don't desapeere. But even if a number of the dolphins have survived, they and other freshwater animals, like the Yangtze finless porpoise, are in serious danger of disappearing forever because our fault.

ORAL PRESENTATION.

Carles Torracabota and Clàudia Rosillo – different kinds of weddings.

This oral presentation was so difficult, I mean, that we searched a lot of information because we didn’t know anything about the topic, consequently, the vocabulary of the text was really complicated, and there were a lot of new things for us.
We wanted to do a really good work, so maybe we did an oral which wasn’t of our level, it was higher than our level and because of it I was a little bit nervous.
However, I think that the most important points to do a good oral were good, for instance, we looked at our audience all the time, and I didn’t read from my notes.
I did gestures to hold the attention of my partners, as you know I always move all my body, maybe a so much! Muahaha!
Another think that I think that I’ve done well, is that we used connectors and useful expressions to make the oral easier, and fluent.
About the language, we really had checked our grammar before than did the oral, and I think that we didn’t do a bad work.
This oral presentation was a rept to us, we really worked on it, and I’m not so convinced about the result, I want to say thanks to all my partners who said us that we did a good work! :D
Moreover I have to say that each presentation helps me to learn English, and above all, to learn how to talk in front of partners, and teachers.

COMPUTERS

Computers are part of our every day life, they seem a necessity in the society we live in. But not every body lives in "our" society, so a lot of inhabitants of the world, don't even know what a computer is. We are in the fortunate position, to look at both, the positive as well as the negative, aspects of this topic.

Looking at it from a more critical point of view, there are also negative aspects. Human beings don't think as much as before, because computers do it for us. In spite of that, for scientists the computer is an important tool for their work, because it saves them time to think about other matters.

An other reason to lead to the conclusion that a computer is a negative thing, are the newspapers, that publish every day articles about domestic violence from children to their parents, school masacres caused by some video games. The problem is that nowadays there are more and more children who are always at home entertaining themselves with agressive video games, instead of playing outside.

On the other hand, concentrating on more positive aspects, the first that comes to mind is the help that computers give us in our work, because they permit us to do the things quicker, and to get all the information we need, in no time and from a very compresed informative background.

Moreover PC's play a very important part in a teenagers life, because they are an essential tool for keeping in touch with your friends, whenever and wherever you are.

What's more, looking at the connection between computers an our enviroment, they are a good because we can save paper, and with this trees.

After having stated some pros and cons, I want to include my point of view, which is that pc's are not a necessity. Why? well, because it depends on the definition of the word necessity, for me, necessity means something necessary to survive, like food, water... and computers are not in this group.

If I had to choose amongst all the arguments I would go for the computer being a tool which makes my life easier, but isn't a necessity.

One of the biggest shocks when you arrive in a new country can be the clothes. Maybe you look fashionable at home, but when you are in another country you find that you are behind the times. Let's take a look at teenage fashion girls in the UK.
These days in London isn't enough to wear rings in you ears, you will see so many teenagers with rings in their nose, their lip... or even in their button!
Some girls go for a "glam" look. They wear trousers, usally blue or blach with a simple t-shirt, the look is finished off with metallic bags and shoes and arms full of bracalets.
An alternative is the "rocker" look. Normally they wear a t-shirt of their favourite band and tigh jeans. Jewellery tends to be large and metallic, and they add colour with a scarf, because normally the rest things are black.
If neither of these is for you, why not go 'sporty'? T-shirts are usually tie-dyed in hot colours. Wear long shorts, short jeans or a denim skirt. And on their feet they wear trainers!

It's important to remember to wear clothes and choose a look that you feel comfortable with. Don't just be one of the crowd – be yourself!

Opinion: The look which I prefer is the "glam" one. I have to say, that this summer I always wear full of bracalets on my arm because I copy from english famous!

One day, Anna Scott, a really famous actress, coincidentaly enters the travelers bookshop of William. She bought a travel book and left the shop. Later in the street, Willian unintentionally threw a drink over . With this excuse he invited her home to clean her clothes and she accepted. After changing her clothes she left, but one minute later, someone rang the bell, it was Anna who came to give him a kiss. He promised not to say say anything about that, and with melancholy and love he remembered her until she rang him up to have a date. The curious thing is that this "date" was when the actress had some interviews with journalists to talk about her latest film and William had to pass there as a journalist, a really nice and funny moment. This is when they decided to have a normal date, which is the birthday of Wlliam's sister.Anna had a very busy life as an actress and even though they started a romanced there was no hope for a normall relation ship in a future, but after a lot of ups and downs, the story finishes in a happy end.
It's a tipicall Holliwood production!
I want to ask the teachers something: would it be possible to give us two days for watching films? because we didn't have time and we have to finish films at home.

Presumably there are a lot of people who don’t laugh, but to lead a happy life you should do it because as Erma Louise Bombeck said, “If you can’t make it better, you can laugh at it”.
Nowadays people seem to have a lot more problems than some years ago, problems that didn’t matter then are becoming more and more important, for instance, the high level stress, the economical circumstances, work pressure… if the problems get over your head and you can solve them, take a break, step back and laugh, because “if you can’t make it better, you can laugh at it”.
I’m sure that nobody ever died of laughter, but so many people must have died because of tears, maybe those unfortunate people didn’t know how, and what about laughing. Because of this reason a handful of people created the therapy of laughing, a place where you can let our all your frustrations. What’s more, you don’t only relieve your frustrations, but you’re giving your mind a little holiday from all your worries.
In conclusion, and from my point of view, if you can’t solve the problem at least try to find some humor in it.

the duchess!

The British actress Keira Knightley, who has done a lot of movies, like pride and prejudice, has done her last film some months ago: the duchess. She has rejected claims that this historical drama set in the 18th century imitates the life of Princess Diana. She explaines that the film tells true life story of Georgiana, Duchess of Devonshire, who was the great-great-great-great aunt of Diana, so their relation wasn't really nearvy.

In the movie Keira plays an aristocratic woman who is married to a man who is in love with his mistress. It's this part of the film which paparazzi and critics say that mimics the experiences of Princess Diana, who was trapped in a marriage to Prince Charles who always had a clandestine relationship with another woman.

Keira spoke to the BBC and played down the similarities in the stories, saying that her character was interesting enough to warrant a film about her, without the necessity of imite nobody. Keyra also said: "I was eleven when Diana died, so I don't really know what the actual story is, so I don't feel I can comment on the parallels"

I not really agree with this sentence because I think that maybe it's true that she was so young when Diana died, but If she wants she can find a lof of information without the need of lived throw this moment

whether the Diana connection exists or not, The Duchees demonstrates a profound look into personal relationship in a society where divorce was a taboo topic. The film also provides a good look about the architecture and fashions of 18th Century in England.

Hello lourdes!
You said to us that we must write something about our life, so I’m going to talk about this summer.
I have to say that this summer has seen the worst of my life:
All began really well, June was fantastic, I was really happy because the school had finished and we were all the day in the beach, but in July I started to work in a tobacconist’s, with Marina Julià, a really good friend of mine, and this month was awful! Originally it wasn’t bad, the work wasn’t hard and there were really nice people, so the time ran really fast. But later started being problems with money, time-tables… and we were a little bit angered between us, It was not possible to be there! Luckily my contract finished in July because in August I didn’t want to work because of the research paper, so you can imagine, during this month I was every morning writing about cholesterol, and during the afternoons I was going to the auto school, but I didn’t do so much work , so, I felt the first exam. I had to go there during September too, and I went to the exam this Thursday, I’ve passed it this time, and I didn’t do any mistake! J
Oh! I’ve forgotten one thing, during the summer I have been doing classes to a really nice girl, Homa, who said to me that one of her teachers called Lourdes recommended me. Are you this Lourdes?! When she explained me I didn’t know if you are the teacher or maybe Lourdes Batlló.
I explained a lot of “bad” things about summer, but I have to recognize that there were a lot of good moments too, and if I can go back, I’ll return! But this is impossible, isn’t it? So we’re at the end of September and the high school has started! I have an intention for this year: have really good marks, so I must study a lot and do a really good work because my dream is to do medicine, and the mark to this degree is really high, and 8,7!
Well, it’s an 8,7 in Barcelona, UV, where I want to do It, but in other places it’s a little bit less, nevertheless always the mark is higher than an 8, so it’s difficult, but I’ll try.
I really want to go to BCN another time, I’m a city person. I love the cinema, the people walking in the street up and down, the shops... and all these things. I know that it sounds a little bit weird, because more or less all the people, here, prefer the town, or village, with pure, clean air and calm, but I don’t agree, well, maybe “agree” isn’t the word, because all of this it’s true, but I prefer movement, than calm.
If you’ll see me really stressed during the year don’t worry, I’m a nervous person, and now more! :D

Observing your portfolio, can you see an improvement on your level on English since September 2007? Where, for example?
I think that I get better during this year, overcoat, in writing.
I can see a little bit improvement in news, for example, but I think that I can see a higher advance if I observe the blog, there, I do 30 enters, and each one it’s better than the other.

Which activity best shows your level of English?
There are a lot of activities which shows well my English level, for instance, the oral presentation’s video, or the summaries from the news, and films…
But, how I said before, where you can really see how I redact, and all of my knows is in the blog.

Which activities were really USEFUL for you to improve your English? Why?
I think that we do a lot of activities, and we spend a lot of time, but I have to say that it’s true that I learn a lot doing blog and orals presentations.
The oral presentation, for instance, is a funny form to learn English, and for me, the most important part from the English, the speaking.
Oh, I forget to say a really important thing, I believe, that talking with Anika, is one of the best forms to improve our English, and really funny too.

Which activities did you not find useful to learn English? Why not?
I’m not really happy with some activities from the portfolio, I don’t like to evaluate my partners, or, do three news summaries…
I know that maybe I am learning when I do these things, but on the one hand, the improvement is really slow, and on the other hand we spend a lot of time, and you know that we have a lot of exams, works…
I think that if you say, for example, you must do 5 blogs enters, and one new summary in the portfolio… we will be happier to do the work, but in my opinion, nowadays there are so much occupation.

Mr and Ms Smith.

The other day, Anna and I watched a really nice movie in the language room: Mr and Ms Smith.
I never wanted to watch this film, because I think that it will be really boring, but my friend insists me and she had the reason, the film is so good.

This is a little summary about the film:

Jane and John Smith is an ordinary, unhappy married couple. They met in Bogota 5 or 6 years ago. They both used each other to stay out of suspicion from the government authorities looking for tourists traveling by themselves.
Mr. Smith leaves the house each morning, supposedly heading for his job as a big-money contractor; he's actually off to work as a secret agent. And, when Mrs. Smith claims to be heading for her job on Wall Street, she's actually off to work as, also, like a secret agent…Before discover their other half's secret, the pair go on to banter and quip their way through countless explosions, punch-ups and shoot-outs. Sometimes both are trying to kill the same person, and at other times they're simply trying to kill each other. At the last moment they wanted to kill each other, but they finished making love.

EXAMS. opinion essay from the exam.

Too much importance is given to taking exams at school. Do you agree?

Nowadays, at schools, pupils have to do a lot of exams during the year, overcoat during the end of each term. Normally, we say that this is a really bad and boring thing, because we must study a lot and we haven’t time for our hobbies… but if I think well, I believe that doing exams is really important so, I agree with the first sentence.
On the one hand, if we don’t do exams there will be so many people, who study so much, and others, the lazy ones, who don’t study anything, and we can prove this without tests.
Somebody who doesn’t do anything can have the same mark than someone who works a lot, so, this isn’t fair, but, on the other hand, life without exams can improve our responsibility, if no one controls our work we have to do things for ourselves.
We also must do exams because it makes that everybody who is really interested in achieving a good future, feels more satisfied if every each time he is evaluated.
Another important thing to do exams is that if we should learn things to achieve a good mark, the lessons will be, more or less, compulsory, if not, there will be a lot of people who don’t come to class.
In conclusion, in my opinion, if we don’t do exams the school will be really disorder.

He talked about water.

Facts I’ve learnt:
Water is composed of oxygen and hydrogen.
It doesn’t smell, it’s transparent and, of course, essential for survive.
In the world there is a lot of water, but only a 3% is fresh water, the other 97% is salty water which we can’t use.
Nowadays never rain because the cycle of the water, which Oriol also explain with a power point, is irregular, so we are having a lot of problems with this necessary element.
Ideas for my oral presentation: He put a lot of pictures behind the texts to help him.
Do I have any question: Do you use a lot of water? No I don’t.
General Impression: I think he did a good oral presentation, although he read a little bit and the topic wasn’t really interesting.

- BERNARDO SANTOS AND IÑAKI FERNANDEZ:
They talked about "Crimes in United Stated of America" USA: a very dangerous country.

Facts I've learnt: I learn a lot of things with this oral presentation.
Russia and USA are the places where are more homicides, and, why there are a lot of homicides in USA? The answer is really simple: because they can take really easy a gun.
Black people, there, do more crimes than white people to survive, there are a lot of differences between rich and poor ones.
The most dangerous cities are Baltimore, Detroit, Dc…
Ideas for my oral presentation: Choose an original topic like their!
General Impression: I think that the topic is really interesting and they do really a really good oral. Bernardo, normally, talks English really good.

- CHAINEZ SELLOUM:
She talked about "The famine"

Facts I’ve learnt:
She explained to us some sad things, like:
One child dies every five second a day for famine.
The causes for famine are:
Expensive aliments, there are a lot of people in poor countries, and some epidemic diseases.
To resolve this problem, there are some organizations like:
“Food and agriculture organization of United States” or "World Food" (the biggest humanitarian organization of the world).
Ideas for my oral presentation: She is very expressive, and this is a positive point ;)
General Impression: I always say the same, her English is so good, but, this time, I don’t enjoy with the topic so much, I have to say that she explained a lot of interesting things but it was so long.

- ELISENDA LLADÓ AND LAIA SALÓ:
They talked about "Helpless dogs"

Facts I’ve learnt:
Each year there are more or less, 200.000 animal abandonment, which is a lot.
Sometimes, for example, people go on holidays and they can’t take care of their animals, so they leave behind them.
There are some solutions, like associations… but not so much.
This problem has some consequences, of course, bad consequences, for instance, there are more traffic accidents, germs and diseases…
Ideas for my oral presentation: They did an emotive power point, so nice.
General Impression: They did a good oral presentation, I think that their level is standard, they didn’t do a lot of mistakes but they didn’t do an impressive show.

- MARINA SARQUELLA:
She talked about "Natural disasters".

Facts I've learnt:
She explained to us water and weather disasters, she did a nice power point with some pictures which exciting a lot.
I also learned some vocabulary: Flods = inundacions, hailstorms: granissada.
Ideas for my oral presentation: She showed us a lot of impacted photos!
General Impression: I think that Marina always choose nice topics, I enjoy her orals presentations. I think that she did a good work.

- ADRIÀ ALFARO:
He talked about "Skinheads"

Facts I've learnt:
I didn't know that Skinheads appeared too many years ago in England and Jamaica.
There are a lot of different groups of this type of people, and there are also really diverse between them.
RASH is the most radical Skinhead's group.
Ideas for my oral presentation: He always do a long oral presentation and he gives us a lot of information, I don’t like so much the topics which he choose, so I don’t enjoy a lot, but I have to say that his orals always are good.
General Impression: He did a good oral presentation, like I said before, but I think that he must be more expressive.

- NEUS PAGÈS AND MARINA JULIÀ:
They talked about "diseases" like Bulimia, AIDS...

Facts I've learnt: I knew a lot of things about this topic because I always find information about illness, and all of this things, but I learn some new things, like:
Each day, die 2 persons about anorexia o bulimia, and every day this illness is improving.
Ideas for my oral presentation: A good power-point!
General Impression: They did a good presentation, the topic wasn’t really original but I love this kind of topics, so I enjoy.

- ADRIÀ CARMONA AND ALEJANDRO PEÑA:
They talked about "The waste".

Facts I've learnt:
They explained us the waste, the rubbish in the streets (plastic bags, cigarettes, batteries, condoms, glass, etc.) Isn’t a difficult topic, and nowadays you can hear about it in news… so, I don’t learn so much things.
Ideas for my oral presentation: Bring objects to explain more things about the topic. General Impression: They did a good oral.

- BALDIRI GIRONELLA:
He talked about "Hooliganism".
I wasn’t surprise about he chose this topic because he loves football and, in general, the sports world.

Facts I've learnt:
The word "Hooliganism" is from Patrick Hooligan.
I think that I learn a lot of things in this oral, because I don’t know anything about football, and hooliganism, etc, but I’m not really interesting about it.
Ideas for my oral presentation: He always does a good oral presentation and not really complicated, he didn’t look nervous.
General Impression: Good!

- Ariadnca Comas.
She talked about Ill-treated animals

Facts I’ve learnt:
Every year thousand of animal are used to different experiments. There are a lot of people who consider the animals only like a form to make money.
Do I have any question: Do you have animals? Yes, I have cats.
Ideas for my presentation: She gave us a lot of information.
General impression: good!

- Miriam and Anna Genís
They talked about “poverty & podronage”

Facts I’ve learnt.
They act as a good father since 2001.
Anna for example, started this “work” when she saw in a television program, Operación triunfo, some “offers” of different child.
There is an organization really popular about this, which is: Vicenç Ferrer, and it started his work six years ago.
I learned some vocabulary: act as a good father and patronage are synonymous, they mean: apadrinar. Vicenç Ferrer ONG started 6 years ago
Do I have any question? Anna, do you five presents to your girl like Miriam? Yes, I gave her a t-shirt and a skirt.
And, How much money do you pay every month?
We don’t know, but more or less twenty Euros.

They talked about personal things which make the oral more affecting.
General impression:They do a good oral presentation, and the power point also was nice and original.
I think that Miriam was so much nervous, she could do a better work, because I know that her English is good.

I always do the oral presentation with the same partner, Carles, and in my opinion I think that we improve a lot.
I remember when we did our first oral presentation that we must work really hard and the result wasn't really good, and nowadays, our last oral presentation, for example, in my opinion it's really good and, we have worked a lot, but not like some orals before.
I think that I improve in different things:
I improve my pronunciation
I can do the orals without nervous.
I improve my vocabulary...

we have done a really good work! :D

EUROVISION.

This year in the Eurovision festival Rodolfo Chikilikuatre will represent Spain. It's a song for laugh created by the TV program of the Catalan journalist Andreu Buenafuente.
I don’t like this song; I think that it’s really silly.
Some people are really angry because they don’t want that a stupid song represents their country.
I don’t mind who goes to Eurovision from Spain, I never have seen this program and I think that it isn’t a nice program.
Isn’t a singing program, I think that it’s more a political program, because some countries or it’s better to say, all countries, vote the country with they have a good relationship.
Apart from that, all countries send there silly songs to do laugh the people and, for this reason, I agree with the Chiki-chiki goes there. We can't take this festival seriously because we would be stupid!
If somebody wants to laugh, you could see this program.

OUR WORLD.

We have almost learnt to respect our world. Do you agree?

I don’t agree with this sentence, in my opinion it’s really false.
Nowadays the people try to seem really respectful telling lies, for example:
“I don’t waste water” or “I prefer walking that going by car” and these typical things, but in fact they have a bath at night when they’re tired, of they take the car to do their shopping next to their house because they’re lazy.
So, in my opinion nowadays nobody takes care of our planet by the way we are supposed to do it.
There are a lot of things that we can do to respect our world:
· We have to take the bus if we need to go to a far place, but if we can it’s better not to take the car because It causes a lot of contamination.
· We can use different renewable energies instead of fuel, diesel…
· We should respect the forests, the animals… and all the fauna and flora.

The most important thing is to understand that we aren’t the only specie on this planet, and neither the most relevant.

EUTHENASIA.

However in cases of persons under this age, would be resolved in consultation with parents, thing with I think really logical, because a person under 16 years old maybe isn’t really mature to take a decision. "The pain hasn't limit age, is the same for adults and younger". This is the attitude of one senator, Jean-Jacques.They also propose to give this right to die, to persons with mental problems.
In my opinion, euthanasia it’s a really conflicted trouble, and doctors must study every person who wants to take this and try to take the best decision possible.

I am going to begin describing her physically.

She is a really pretty girl, she is like a fashion model, she is really long-legged, tall, and really thin, and her hair is so long.

Talking about her hair, I also can say that it is really nice. It's curly and dark hair which make her green eyes stand out. She is short-sighted and sometimes weare glases, but she is pretty all the same.

Her white skin is full of freckles that make her really graceful.

She is a little bit headed and, in my opinion, this makes her more atractive.

Moreover her personality is incredible.

she always helps you and takes care of you, she's a really good friend.

I admire that she isn't two-faced. She never says bad things about me to other people, well, I think not.

Frankenstein: differences between the film and the book.
Is it a good story?

This year we have read one interesting book: Frankenstein, some days later we saw the film, which, in my opinion, is really exciting.
There are some differences between the film and the movie:

*In the film Victor meets Henry Clerval at the university when he goes there to study medicine, but in the book they were friends when they were children.

*In the film Victor only has one little brother, William, and in the book there are two little brothers.

*Elizabeth in the film has brown hair, and in the boock the writther describe her like a blond girl.

* Frankenstein in the film use a sledge for goes throw the snow and in the book he don't use it.

*In the film Henrly Clerval, the best friend of Victor dies, and in the book he doesn’t do it.

*In the film, Frankenstein kills Elizabeth like in the book, but he does this act different.
In the movie, he takes out Elizabeth heart, and in the book he strangles her.

This article has been written by one man who saw a robber on the street.
The thieves were two moroccans, who stolo a couple of old people.
The pair had been parkin their car when the duo of moroccans had struck. One of them had caused a distraction and the other had snatched the bag through the open window of the passenger seat.
The man who writtes the article says that all the people who stile in Barcelona are moroccans, or black people, so, he is saying that all of these people are bad, thing that in my opinion isn’t true, all type of people stile, but sometimes racis people only see what they want.

Today I want to talk about my last oral presentation, I have done it with Carles, and we talked about our trip to England.We have chosen this topic because we had really enjoyed these holidays there, and we wanted to explain to all the people how interesting England could be. Another important fact to make a great presentation is to love the topic and to prepare it, and we have done both things. That’s another reason why we have chosen our holidays to talk about.We have explained the places we visited and we talked about the English food, so, we dealt with different cultural things about England and the English people.In my opinion I did it better than the first presentation, maybe because the experience make me feel better and my nerves disappeared, or perhaps doing the oral presentation in pairs helped us to feel more comfortable.

FINAL F1 RACE.

Today, in the english class I have read a BBC article and here there is the summary I have done.

SUMMARY
Last sunday was the final F1 race and it decided who will win the world title. Kimmy Raikkonen, a ferrari pilot, was the winner. The other aspirants to win the title were Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso.
Lewis Hamilton said to the BBC that he didn't want to win if another pilot (Kimmy Raikkonen) were desqualificated, he wants to be the winner doing the best job. He will have more oportunities to win the world championship and he thinks that in a future, he can do it. For him, it has been a phenomenal year and he is very proud of everyone helps him to get him where he is.
Fernando Alonso, his team-mate, said that he'd be ebarrassed for this sport if Hamilton had won the title because the person who merits it is Raikkonen.

THE BREACK UP

Today in language room I have seen one film: “the break-up.”
It’s a really nice film, which I have understand really good because I saw it in spanish some days ago.
This movie is about one couple who are in love, but they have a lot of problems, so they decide to split up, but not as a normal pair, they decide to separate inside the same flat.
Each one has his space in the house, for example, the girl is the owner of right part of the sofa, and the boy is the owner of the left part, so they cannot exceed.
Some days later, the woman doesn’t know how recover her husband, so she meet another men only for give him (her husband) jelousy, but the plan doesn’t work because the man thinks that she is really in love with the other man, he give himself defeated.
They thanks to the pride dicide to sell the flat and begin their life separately, but finally she says to him all that she really feels, and she explained to him that she needs be alone for some time.
At the finally of the movie they understand that this isn’t a fair, they only must give up.

We would like to let you know our point of view on different issues of the High school.

Firstly, we want to talk about trips.

It’s true that we haven’t enough time to learn all the subjects that we must study, but we think that we need time to disconnect, and for this reason we would like to make a trip.

Some years ago students of second and firs of “batxillerat” travelled to canarias, Madrid or different places with teachers, and nowadays this activity has been deleted, so we believe that we have the right to travel too.

What’s more, now we want to complain about a topic which is a little bit more serious.

We are not fully satisfied with the amount of information about future expectations that the center gives to us.

The teachers must spend more time to explain us about the world that we’ll find in a future, they always talk in general terms without details, and we need that they be more accurate to choose our degree.

BORKING and MEWING.

Our story starts as a funny one, ten years ago, when we were six years old.
We were at the beach with our parents, the day was really good and the sun was shining as ever before.
We were swimming and playing with our ball when suddenly we heard a loud scream from a woman.
We didn’t panic but a few minuts later we heard the noise again, then our parents came for us.
We wanted to know what was happening, so we decided to escape, then we ran towards where the noise came from but nobody was there, we didn’t know what we could do: by then the evening was felling. A lot of clouds were covering the nice sky and a bit later it started to rain a lot and at the same time we heard the borking and the mewing of dogs and cats.
It was a really wierd sesation, but still more strange was when there started to fall cats and dogs from the sky.
Since that day, “it’s raining cats and dog” has been one of the most popular expressions in England.

MY LIFE

Hello I'm Clàudia Rosillo and you said to me that I must write something about myself, so I am going to do it.
I don't know what write about.. but I will start with personal profile.
I am sixteen years old, and I live in Empuriabrava, in a house near the beach. I live with my parents and my two brothers, they are forteen years old and they are twins, so you can imagine that their behaviour it's really bad.
Our relation it's not really good, I can't be with they more than 10 minuts, they are unbearable, but I want to say that sometimes, we're fine together because we have a lot of similar hobbies, for example, in winter we love go to skiing, they do this activity better than me, but we go for lost ways and we do races, it's so funny.
I have a dog too, his name is Tro and he is really old, On the one hand I love him a lot but on the other hand.. he is really dirty because he lives inside the house. When he dies, I don't want more animals in my house, but I hope that he lives for a long time more.
Some years ago I lived in Barcelona, where I was really happy, hear I'm fine too but it's different, I'm a city person, I love the cinema, the people walking in the street up and down, the shops... and all of this things. I know that it sounds a little bit wierd, because more or less all the people, here, prefer the town, or village, with pure and clean air and calm, but I'm not agree.
I think that here it's a little bit boring, but in two years, if all will be good, I am going to the university in Barcelona so all will be really good.
Well, I must to say that here it's not bad, the people it's really good and I have a lot of good friends.
Talking about friends, I want to explain something about my best friends, they are Anna, Gemma and Marina.
We are always together doing crazy things.. in company of three boys, Gerard, Ferran and Eudald.
They are so nice and always they are helping us, doing funny things.. etc.
Now we "the girls" are doing "primer de batxillerat" and they "segon de batxillerat"
I can't say a lot of things about this school year because I don't do a lot of things yet, but I'm sure that it's harder than "ESO" and more difficult.
I'm doing science basically, and it's not easy, all of my friends are doing letters and I'm a little bit alone. We are twenty-seven in the class, more or less, and we are only six girls.
I wish have a really good marks and doing a good degree at the university.
